Dude. I thought you went from single coin to max coin for that exact reason?A
royal flush cycle may be 40,000 hands but a Phil cycle is around 200
posts.Hey Eduardo, this is the secret that helps Phil to be right so often!!  When I say "so often," I am speaking of course only in a relative sense.  In his case, jumping from one side to the other is a strength.  Normally with the analytical abilities he has displayed over the years, you would expect that he could be correct only 15% to 20% of the time.  However, when he is in the other portion of the cycle, contradicting his earlier statements, it actually improves his decision-making to get closer to the 50% mark at being correct.  His personal optimum would be reached if his cycle length was 2, with every other post contradicting the immediately preceding post.Twenty years ago, before videopoker.com, before I had ever heard of Bob Dancer, Dan Paymer, Lenny Frome, Tomski, Jazbo, Mike Shackleford, Dean Zamzow, Jim Wolfe, Frank Kneeland or all the rest, I thumbed through a book by Andrew Brisman that covered lots of the casino games.  In the few pages covering video poker, there was a paragraph that stated something like "sometimes single coin allowed a lower average loss per play than max coin" even with the same pay schedule due to the diminished size of the bet.  This difference is of course even greater when different pay schedules are involved.  Somehow Phil has convinced himself that he has discovered some previously unknown profound secret.  And he has taken 2500 posts to laud his heroism when others had previously expressed this rather obvious conclusion in 25 words or less.

The best quarter deuces wild game at the Tampa Hard Rock is
100/60/50/20/20/15/10/5, a 97.579% game at max coins.  The best 50 cent
game is 125/75/45/20/20/15/10/5 a 98.913% game at max coins.  At single
coin 50 cents, this game is 97.686%.   Both are seriously negative.
Isn't the single coin 50 cent game better than the max coin quarter
game?  I'm not trying to prove anything.  Just asking?Do you think that Phil has no idea why he is asking this question?  Or are the bolded words clearly wrong?  Is Phil simply "innocently" asking a question?  Or does he think he is slyly outsmarting others into thinking that he is?   It is hard to believe that Phil doesn't have a plan here.  The smart money could be on the idea
that this was a bold-face lie (pun, oh so intended) so he could proudly proclaim his intellect in a later post.  Oh ...  what do we see later in the thread?
The biggest problem Recreational Players have is they ignore the math.  I have been accused of this numerous times.  Here is math showing that I have been right all along. No sorry, Phil has not been "right all along."  Was he right when he followed all but one of Dancer's teachings and lost thousands of dollars?  Was he right when he proclaimed that using one coin was the secret to his winning money some years?  Was he right when he gave up on using one coin and went back to five coins in part to get better comps?  Is he right now that he is back to defending one coin?  He is not wrong all the time, but that is a far cry from being right all along. Thus, the statement, "I have been right all along," reduces Phil's percentage of correct pronouncements.  As was suggested earlier, the only way to be "right all along" is to start with correct statements and be consistent.  When you contradict earlier statements, it is impossible to be "right all along."  One tip on helping Phil's percentage would be for him to avoid using the word "math."  Or should I have said "misuse" the word "math"?  After all, this is supposed to be the Recreational Play area that Phil wanted so that others couldn't measure his poor decisions with mathematical principles.  It may help him if he realizes that math is not a useful tool for defending most of his posts.

Dude. I thought you went from single coin to max coin for that exact reason?A royal flush cycle may be 40,000 hands but a Phil cycle is around 200 posts. You keep ending up back where you started! I know you got up at 2am or something, but this entire discussion has already been had. Several times!

Oh it's way less than 200 posts. Phil repeats the exact same things pretty much every other post. The level of his willful ignorance is truly astounding. I've been a teacher for almost 20 years and I've never seen anything close to it.

The level of his willful ignorance is
truly astounding. I've been a teacher for almost 20 years and I've

I came to realize that vp reflects roullete. The pay table may as well be double 0 and the gravity of the wheel/ball is the shuffle of the cards
