Hard Rock

Post by jetermacaw »

Very preliminary reports from the soft opening. Terrible pay tables, 8/5 Jacks, 9/5 DDB and most VP machines are in smoking section. Slot attendants were shocked at how bad pay tables were.

Another quote, “Hard Rock has the worst VP in town”.

There go my weekend plans! Unacceptable. I'm surprised the attendants even give a damn. It can marginally affect their Tip incomes, of course.

My friend, this is all second hand info from what I consider reliable sources, but you should still check things out yourself.

I am not surprised. Was going to check out the 2 new casinos on Thursday, but may reconsider.

I'm going to see Hard Rock on my next trip to AC. Get my Hard Rock wild card tier status upgrade . I am also going to see if and how many of the old Taj employee's were hired back. I heard that the free room, that you get from the tier status upgrade is Sunday thru Friday. It is only good until Sept. 3.   https://www.hardrockhotelatlanticcity.c ... tier-match

Sounds like the best place to go to in the facility is the Howie Mandel Comedy Club.

Given that it was striking Taj Employees in the Union, local 359 and it's idiotic president (what's his name, the guy with the Irish Last Name) who precipitated the ultimate demise of the Taj by playing ULTRA-HArdball Bluff with, and trying to blame Carl Icahn for EVERYTHING except Global Warming, I would not count on seeing any old UNION Taj employees under Hard Rock's roof (unless they've quit the union and somehow rejoined under Hard Rock's auspices, OR perhaps the idiots at Local 359 have finally seen the light and now realize they should be working WITH management).....perhaps you'll see one or two former SALARIED employees from Taj, such as the nice desk clerks.I am more than satisfied and content with Jeter's second hand feedback.....heck I do not care if its third hand or sixth hand feedback, it's obvious that video poker is NOT something that Atlantic City Casinos put much effort or emphasis upon except to ensure their customers don't win anything in the long run.    The past 9+ years has assured me that AC rules and regulates its VP differently than Vegas (and elsewhere) so why on earth should the new Hard Rock be any different (or the other place, the former Revel......what's it called again?  "The Sea"?  "Body of Water"???Daburglar's economist alter ego predicts, in 24 months (also known as 2 year's time or 730 calendar days....or 17,520 HOURS), the two Brand New Casinos, once the Summer of 2018 is over, will swiftly bring the hard won progress and Momentum that the rest of the AC Casinos have made just to survive to a SCREECHING, ANNOYINGLY FRUSTRATING halt. The current demand/supply balance was holding but is extremely delicate and precarious, and even the slightest DOWNTURN or slowdown in the OVERALL economy can wreak havoc (such as what typically happens with escalating, pointless TRADE WARS!)One of these two casinos will not survive past two years, and you can guess it will be the Hard Rock to squeak by and survive based solely on it's brand name alone.....
