well done.....I am glad you are able to see first hand the HUGE difference between Vegas and AC, and what I have been harping on the last 5-6 years! Since you play in AC quite a bit you are a prime candidate to see this stark, seemingly obvious differential in quality of hands, trends in the statistical flow of Video Poker games located in Vegas casinos versus those in places like Caesars/Ballys/Harrahs in AC etc.

It's good you are making the concerted effort to only play the better paytables in Vegas, although I would submit that even some of the crappy paytables from the Vegas STrip are preferable to what is sitting in certain AC joints on certain nights!

I hope you have more success and look forward to more of your reporting.....

FPDW is the best video poker game i ever played to date, never a game in gambling where my bankroll stayed together so well. i have to say those AP"s have the upper hand on us atlantic city slickers w/ their superior tables. oh well all good things must come to an end coming home to the east coast tonight, over all good vacation on and my wife caught quad 2s twice last night cheers!

Keep in mind that you'd probably be ahead on a 96.77% Deuces game with a Royal and 2 quad deuces in one day. The effects of a paytable is harder to see in the short term. My actual return on FPDW is terrible over a small sample. Glad it sounds like you did well though.

My return for FPDW while in Vegas was bad too. If you think the machines are better in Vegas, look at Dan's Journey thread to see his results. He lives in Vegas and sometimes gets crushed at VP 99% and 100+% games.

Wait hes playing a 99 type of game?
My simulations show -20k credits in the deepest one can go on winpoker perfect strategy. I guess its possible to go deeper? Arnold synder always says its not about how much you need but how much you have.

And as for 96% more probably do better vs 100.75 im not sure if im understanding correctly? After a 250k hands or 3-5 bankrolls later the fpdw will always triump

Yes in the long term you're better off playing FPDW. But you ran so well on this trip, you're likely ahead on any common deuces paytable for this trip with the hands you hit. But then again I don't know how much you played exactly.

You just make it sound like your results are mostly due to the paytable. But your sample size is still too small.

well like i said i played jacks or better/aces and faces/ double double bonus/ five joker poker/ triple double bonus / all games ranging from 99.0 to 100.76 and i never seen my bankroll behave like that before , ive also played the games i listed above at home on wolf poker/winpoker and the end results always come within 5 bankrolls to each other.

i also believe the house video poker is more RANDOM than the software i have at home, im not sure how to explain that one but thats my take in past 4 years in real casino video poker

Ask Olds how random casino VP is. Droughts to beak anyone's willpower. Somehow, he endured.
