Gambling Books from the past?
i read my book called " The gamblers Bible" it tells a story how a couple brothers parlayed a 20$ bill into 120k$ at empire city race tracks in NYdoes anyone know if this story is true? i also heard how a homeless man went in a casino with a dollar to his name and won 1/2 mil and manage to lose it all and the casino kicked him out as they should!in any matter i been toying with parlaying my winnings/gamblings to the high limit room, highest i ever gambled with in VP in real casino was 1$ or 5$ a turn, and thats rare. im playing on my phone and i am destroying the house with the "parlay system"is it really that far away to convert 20$ into 20k ? or 120k? is it like lottery distance 1/1000000 type of shot? i been a quarter player mostly and never won much or lost much but its fun to try and see how far you can get in a negative game

Yes it's really a very big long shot. You are very, very likely to go broke. Once in a zillion times you will succeed --- and you can write a book about it if you do. But betting systems do not and can not make a negative game positive.

No further comment required. If you want to get rich, here's what Wayne Huizenga once told me. "Find something no one else wants to do and do more of it than anyone else.'

Only thing WH couldn't beat was cancer, which killed both he and his wife.

They were nice people. I first met Wayne Huizenga years ago when he started Waste Management. I was an engineer for the Burroughs Corporation and he was a client. He told me he never thought about getting rich. He only wanted to be the best. He owned the Miami Dolphins, Block Buster Video and a number of other businesses. He also had the perfect timing to sell a business at the right time. In VP terms, he knew when to "cash out". He and his wife both contributed millions of dollars to charity. He cared greatly about the South Florida community and even bought them a World Series with the Miami Marlins.I met a lot of very successful people in my career. Back in the sixties, one of my clients was a tiny company in Miami called Burger King. Another was Bob's Barricades. I used to watch them paint signs out in front of their warehouse in Opa-Locka. I did some work for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines when no one knew their name. Miami had it's share of crazies too. Good memories all.
