3 Royals in 3 straight sessions

     Finally, starting to hit Royals roughly on schedule or even a bit ahead. Over the weekend at Mohegan Sun I decided to play some low budget spin poker so as not to give back some of the recent wins. Luckily, even though it is a 96 percent machine there is one fun to play spin machine that has 3 cent, 5, 10, and 20, options within the same machine. It also lets you play up to 20 lines.   You do have to play bet 5 to get paid the right amount for the Royal, but a machine like this is perfect for a little Martingale clone play which is what I like to do the most especially on Bonus Deuces Wild which is my favorite game.
     I usually start out playing 3 lines on the 3 cent game at 5 per line. I keep track in my head which keeps me sharp especially since I will hit 70 in a week or so. When I have lost a net of ten deals, I go up to 4 lines and follow the same rules. If I get a couple of good hands on 4 lines, I will drop back to 3 lines. Anyway, I follow this pattern all the way up to 20 lines. If after a few hours of play, I am not ahead, I will switch to nickel play within the same game. After a couple of more hours, if I am still behind, I will play at the ten cent level also within the same game.
    In all 3 sessions I was a little behind after playing several hours at the 3 cent and 5 cent level. I switched to dimes which could get pretty expensive playing many lines, but luckily when I had just a few lines played, I caught Royals at the dime level on all three sessions. Hitting a Royal at the dime level is fun and it still pays 400 bucks. Along the way, I was fortunate to hit quad deuces a few times as well as Aces a few times, wild royals, and low number 5 of a kinds.
    Before anyone thinks this was a windfall, each session of 6 to 8 hours consisted of about 30,000 hands due to multiple line play or 90,000 hands total. The bottom line is I walked away 1,000 bucks to the good for a total of the 3 sessions. It was so much fun and at no time did I come even close to busting my 500 buck budget. Just as an aside, on either side of me I had playing a retired math teacher who is also a chess master. The other side of me was a statistics guy who was brilliant and I only could follow what he was saying to a limited extent. Both guys were cool guys to talk to. One was playing a 2 cent machine and the other a quarter game. Both were around my age. After awhile, they both started watching intently my play and started to dabble a bit with it on their games. After they started winning a bit, they stuck with it and both did very well by the end of their sessions. The bottom line is a fun time was had by all, the time flew by, and long walks were in order after the sessions to ward off the kinks from playing so long. So far, all is well at Mohegan Sun. Difficult to come out ahead using a martingale so nice hits Olds. As an aside, I did see a 442 tooling down the road. Faded yellow with the body in rough shape but you could hear that cam firing off as he stood on it.

Way to go Olds!Strategies like Martingale and CS are not about beating the casinos.  They are about excitement.    I like the way Olds plays VP.  It's so much fun to play cheap, move up and hit a big jackpot.    I also like how he is undeterred in how he plays VP.   He has the budget to play the way he likes and he never complains.

Congratulations. Assuming 21 hours total play, a $47.60 hourly profit. I should, strictly speaking for myself, close shop +$95. It probably won't get any better and more probably will result in 100% give back.

My usual rule of thumb is in 8 Hours of play, they give you 5 minutes. I have given back several Royals over the years by not adhering to those rules. Believe me, that is harder than passing Organic chemistry and Physics in together in the same semester. Well, I passed one. It is harder than landing a bluefish without a steel leader, and it is harder than to not stomp on the pedal when the light turns green because you have another muscle car right next to you. Finally, it is harder than to push away your plate and not go for seconds when you are dining on your wife's awesome meatballs and sauce over Angel hair pasta. I could go on, but I think the gang gets my point. FAA.....take the 95 and run.
