I doubt if Bob Dancer still makes money playing VP.

Nor am I. I guess we'll have to wait around for our answer? All of these questions along with the original poster's question are legitimate. If our members are told VP professionals are the best VP players in the world, doesn't it make sense to tell them what it takes to get there?

I disagree. With his skill and knowledge, his bankroll and his discipline to only play when he has an advantage, I think he does well. The question I have is can a regular person duplicate his results starting from scratch given today's VP world? I seriously doubt this. If you read everything that's available today, you develop the right skills, you play the right games accurately, and you don't care if you lose $100K, you probably won't.

Is he playing positive game? Or just FDW on quarter machine? Or 99.5% high denomination just being lucky? Casinos as of today know everything about limiting the return to make it negative even they still offer points and cash back. Casinos are not lack of math knowledge anymore.

Really? You think casinos don't run a few bad promotions now a days? AP run into juicy promotions more than you think.

Hmm, thanks for the info. I didn’t know that. Maybe we all should follow him and play together with him if he doesn’t mind.case wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 7:43 pm"Casinos are not lack of math knowledge anymore"hophoofer wrote: ↑Mon Jul 30, 2018 7:32 pmIs he playing positive game? You would think his biggest problem would be keeping from being banned? On the other hand, having him play your machines would bring in a lot of players. I also expect lucrative VP opportunities don't happen at the same place all the time. My guess is when they do, it brings out the professional players.
As far as following him around, you better have a big bankroll and guts of steel. I don't think BD is playing quarter VP.

I still think he actually loses huge nowadays playing as a high roller. There are no positive high denomination games available and he possibly plays negative games but just wants to get lucky.FloridaPhil wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 4:18 amYou would think his biggest problem would be keeping from being banned? I used to think that myself until I learned how APs make a profit and it's not the way you think. I'm not an expert on APs, that's for sure. Never met one and I don't care if I do. I do read what they say.
The way I see it, APs are opportunists. They are not going to the casino to have a nice day of relaxation. They only play when there is a potential for profit. When a progressive gets to a certain level, they're there. They play only on multiple points days or when an offer is good enough to make it worthwhile. One thing that surprised me is how much emphasis they put on drawings. It takes time to enter these drawings and to wait to be called. Win one of these and you will be a winner for a long time. If they see an opportunity, they jump on it. If not, they hold their powder. In short, the game they play may look the same as a Recreational player, everything else is different.
There are members of this forum who make money playing VP. I don't know any. Perhaps one of them will add to what I have said.
