The subject says it all. The current countdown is 20 days until my flight to Laughlin. From my first trip of the year in February until now many of you have given me a lot of amazing advice. Everything from bankroll management to cost of error. I’ve definitely grown with vp knowledge to make the most out of my vacations..
This post will be my personal experiences on a day to day basis. I am planning on betting 5$ a hand playing mainly NSUD, a4oak pays 175 BP and 9/6 JoB at the riverside. The trick will be playing those games sober for the first 2400 hands each day.
I would love to elevate my skills to bring this from a hobby I pay for to a hobby that pays for itself. I already know I enjoy unlimited drinking and gambling I’m going to enjoy myself if I can lower that cost that’s even better deal for me.
In regards to drinking and playing video poker how many of you get a headache from focusing on a screen? I can drink with friends and play video games no problem... when I stare at VP after a few drinks I often find myself sluggish or heavy eyed ready for a nap. This is not the case for blackjack and craps
It’s VP in Nevada time!

Deuces wild is not an easy game to play perfectly sober, much less half lit. If you want half a chance at reaching your goal, don't drink while you play VP. Don't think just because the odds are good you can play cheap either. Lots of people have fallen for that one. If you like drinking and gambling, my advice is to play penny slots as cheaply as you can. You will still get free drinks, but you won't run as much money through the machines.

I totally agree with Phil. Never ever ever drink while playing for money in a casino. That's what they want you to do. I would never consider playing VP with anything stronger than coffee or a bottle of water.

I get a lot more deuces while drinking than when I don't drink.
This may something have to do with how often I drink.

There is a really nice $5 NSUD machine in the Wynn high limit room.

Have you been to Laughlin in the summertime before? If you have, you already know it will be hot. if you haven't, be prepared for heat you can hardly believe.
If you're looking for a change of scenery from the Riverside, you might try the nearby Aquarius. They have some decent video poker, and a very nice, inexpensive Italian restaurant, the Vineyard.

i wish i knew about video poker in my last visit of 2016, it blows my mind, how many people there are either really rich or really hate their money lol, i was at hard rock ac last weekend, and since tropicana are associated with hardrock i wonder if palms is as well with ac casinons in nevada? i got a nice upgrade card from them. but yea why bother with negative games is my main question?

Me too. There are many ways to lose money playing video poker, not so many ways to profit. One way to keep from losing as much is to run less money through the machines. Most players never think of that. They think "I'm playing a 100.76% game, I can't lose!". Good luck.stevel96a1 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 11, 2018 12:38 amit blows my mind, how many people there are either really rich or really hate their money lol,

I'm playing 99.54% JOB. I'll barely lose! Next thing I know, I'm missing meals for the day.
