What just happend?

Post by wildman49 »

Wife and I headed out for some Recreational Play Sunday. We both on a bar top playing NSUD. She was playing to the right of me and was out of bullets. She came over to me and was watching my play. I been playing for 15mins and holding my own fine in a small range up and down at $2.50 bets.

I had her sit down and we start taking turns playing. After a bit I changed it to $1 and we start betting $5 a hand. It was like a switch just turned off, dead hand after dead hand. The ticket went from $180 to $20, at that point I changed it back to 50 cent. Like a switch turning on hitting like crazy, before we knew it the ticket was over $100. At $110 I change it back to $1 level and switch off. We go straight to zero in a heart beat. I am like what just happened?

I told my wife I bet we play quarters the deuces hit. I put in a 100 and we don't play 10 hands at $1.25 and them deuces are dealt!

What just happened here? :?

I'm glad you hit them though.

Seems like we may be in the same club Wildman. Mohegan Sun could taste the foam on my beer from my recent wins before I even took my first sip. Played dollar airport deuces last night and it seemed like the deuces skipped town and were shacked up with the guy to my right playing job. After dropping 600 bucks of my 1,000 buck budget, I changed to 50 cent play and played ring around the rosey with the deuces. Now only 400 left of the roll. Took a break and settled in for the remainder of the session on a triple play quarter machine. Same game. I figured at least give myself some extra chances on the other two lines. You already know what happened. In ten minutes, quad deuces on the top line. Half hour later quad deuces again on the top line again. Ended up down 200 which was better than 600, but still left with my tail between my legs.

Losing mere 20% of bankroll is like breaking even, which we all know is a win.

Yep a win is a win in my book. Again good going Wildman. I wonder how much money we all would lose if we equated vp this way. If bankroll is 1,000 bucks, and a CD pays 2% which on the 1k would be 20 bucks for the year or 5 cents for the day, would we quit when we were up a nickel for the day?

Olds, where we're your 800:1 NS machines again? After this weekend's Royal Flush Fiasco, I have half a mind to test ride them.

Tomorrow night I will make another spot check, but last I knew there are only 2. The quarter one is only for spin poker and is 8/5 for job. The dollar one is 9/5 for job so neither are 99 machines. However, on bonus deuces the dollar one is just under 99. The quarter one is in the Earth casino near the entrance to the Hall of Lost Tribes. It is an end machine. The dollar one is directly across from the players club in the sky casino and below the ultra high limit room. It is also an end machine. Both are in smoking unfortunately. if you come let me know because I may be able to get you a mid week comp room. At the very least, free pass to the buffet and lounge. I hit one not too too long ago on the dollar machine with bet 4 for 3200 bucks. Imagine if I hit it anywhere else. It would have been a thousand. Even though it is spin poker, you only have to play the center line. However, it is a real bummer to see the Royal hit on the visible top and bottom line it you don't have it. Just the other night, I hit quad deuces 3 times and they were all on the top line. I would have been smoked if only playing the center line. It does help cut the variance with 3 lines, but bankroll requirements can be higher if all 3 lines are ice cold.

Great information. The quarter one is flat unplayable. The dollar one, if I made the trip obviously I must tolerate. I sometimes play Caesars 9/5 dollar to enjoy the smokeless floor and great lighting. With my luck a MS regular will be on it for hours on end. Center line is only option. Terrible to witness the other two lines hit premium hands! Weekend warrior. It's a lot of leg work even to arrange. But sacrificing 70-94% of RF potential? I missed the ultimate game changer.

I checked out things last night FAA. Couldn't find any other 800 for one machines. As to the quarter one.......yes bad pay table, yet don't forget short term can seem like long term. Today I played 3 lines on it for a total of only 75 cents. In a few minutes, I was dealt 4 deuces on bonus deuces wild. I didn't get the kicker to double my win, but for that small bet, it paid me 150 bucks. A bit later, I blew all of it playing Bonus Deuces Wild on the dollar machine 800 for one. You just never know. In hindsight of course, I should have stashed 100 of the 150 and played with 50 at most. We all know hindsight is 20 20.
