Why do you play video poker? What is your favorite game and why?

I just don't understand the thinking of these casinos. Most of the vp players on this forum lose plenty by the end of the year. Of course I'm speaking for myself here.
The players in Las Vegas are more competent on average than the players elsewhere --- simply because a number of pros live here, classes are taught, and there is more of a community of players to teach each other.

Note that you are criticizing a casino here that is arguably the loosest video poker overall of anywhere in the country. Do they need to tighten a few games periodically because the core of players is improving? Of course. Are there still a large number of games that return more than 100% (including slot club and mailers) 24/7. Absolutely.

If the particular game you like is no longer available, there are still plenty left there.

My comment was not about South Point but about all casinos in general across the country. I would love to see the daily take on a 99 percent machine that is played almost constantly. Forgetting the comps, free play, and other incentives, I suspect they rake in at least 4 percent. That of course is a guess, but I bet it is a pretty accurate one. Of course they are also used to keeping 12 percent or more on the penny slots with many people pumping in max bet at 4 bucks a play if not more.
