I think as long as Phil keeps equating winning at video poker with hitting jackpots, he will remain on the outside, nose pressed against the window as we enjoy our sundaes.

How about contributing something to this forum other than sniping at other people's posts? You do have a smart phone don't you?

I dropped 1k of it back and left.
Great job. I walked by a player the other day who had hit a $2,000 quad ace with a kicker. I stopped to congratulate him. He told me he was even for the day. I congratulated him twice.

Thank you for the pictures. It's nice to see some winning hands. I'm not playing the right machine at the right time to see something like that in front of me. I'm also not playing only video poker anymore. My last royal flush was on a quarter machine and I forgot to take a picture. It was late last year.

I hope to have some nice pictures to post from my next trip to Las Vegas. My last trip was kinda a bust in the gambling department. But I had a great time. That's good enough for me. ;)

For sure. This forum should be about more than who profits from VP and who doesn't. Viewing a photo of a hand pay jackpot is exciting. When you play quarter VP hitting a hand pay is a unique experience. Million Dollar Video Poker is a good book because it's a great story, not because it's a great VP strategy book. I would love to see someone standing next to a $400,00 royal again. Was that the last one on Earth?

I would like to see some photos of the insides of different casinos as well. I would never have known about the Mohegan Sun if Olds442jetaway hadn't talked about it here. We are planning a road trip to the Souring Eagle in Michigan next spring, another forum recommendation.

When you limit VP discussions to math formulas, you run out of things to talk about pretty quickly.

Phil, I hit that jackpot after 15 minutes of play. I was VERY tempted to leave then but I decided to tempt fat; much to my 1k chagrin.....

but he never seems to win anything but free beers, meals and dog grooming.
You seem to be obsessed with dog grooming. Hardly a day goes by without your referring to it. What's with that?

It's strange but I never hear of anyone who plays for hours before a big hit. It always seems to be on the first or second $20 Bill.

It's an inside joke. A few months ago Billy made a comment about being able to trade casino comps for local Vegas services. He said he could get his dog groomed with his comps. The picture in my mind of calculating the value of dog grooming into casino profits seemed hilarious to me. The truth is, if anything they give you has value it works. If I sold all my free casino gifts at the local flea market, it would add up.

At one time I fished professional bass tournaments. Some of the famous fisherman you see on TV where people I fished with. Johnny Morris was one of those fisherman. He is the founder of Bass Pro Shops. I was a member and supporter of the IGFA (International Game Fish Association) and Johnny was a director. Back in the sixties when bass tournaments first started, the prizes were mostly merchandise. We had lures and tackle all over our garages. Johnny started selling the tackle he won in his family's local gas station. That was the start of Bass Pro Shops. Bass Pro Shops has estimated annual sales of over $3 Billion dollars and a profit margin of nearly 50%. Free stuff can have value if you know what to do with it.
