Playing a little wolf poker for practice. While trying to stay even by hitting 5 aces i caught the deuces. We will see how it goes tomorrow at Mohegan Sun.

What works for me may not work for someone else. We all have different goals. My goal is to play as long as possible for as little as possible. Single quarter play bores me too. I occasionally enjoy playing single coin 50 cent Deuces Wild. I play $20 at a time, switch to max coins at $30 and play back down to $20 when I switch back to single coin. I cash out all tickets of $100 or more. I like it because a single coin quad deuce pays $100 and a royal pays $125. During the day I normally cash out at least 1-2 tickets. If I hit a max coin jackpot, I keep it. This strategy is not a long term winner. It limits my cost to play VP, entertains me and I go home happy.
If I played max coin 50 cent VP all the time, my losses could run over $10,000 a year. I would get a lot more T Shirts and ice tea glasses. I may be invited to drawings so I could watch other people win. My points would build up and I would lose them because there is nothing worthwhile to buy with them. No, I am better off playing small and paying for my "free" stuff.
I am sure this strategy seems ridiculous to Billy, Ted and many others. I am not on this forum to teach anyone anything. I am here to talk about what works for me and what happens when I play.
As far as short and long term VP play is concerned. "Anything that can happen will happen".
As far as strategy is concerned. "They all work until they don't".

Ideally I hit a $75+ quad and quit. But I can't write the script. To paraphrase Shakespeare: the fault is not in the stars, but in ourselves.

I enjoy playing video poker. I enjoy going to the casino. I do not enjoy anxiety, depression and regret. For this reason, I like to play video poker so my losses don't bother me and my wins give me a little boost when my day is over. Not even the greatest video poker players in the world win all time. When I walk out of the casino down $50 bucks, I feel like I got my $50 bucks worth. That's all that matters to me.

It’s a really great day though when you win and have a great time otherwise both in the same day.

not sure why Bill likes to keep pointing out that systems don't work, with that said let him gamble the way he likes. a 99.54 will always produce negative results regardless how he wagers, so let him gamble the way he likes okay Bill?
