Its still short term, but I finally found something that works OK and is fun

The game might be negative but sometimes the extras make it positive. There is more to a game than just the pay table.

Video poker is kind of like he sine curve tilted slightly downward. If one can get out at its peaks and avoid the valleys most sessions will produce a positive result games with a low variance. The trick is getting out at the peaks.

Agreed. I always marveled at player losses as a free play and flee patron. Upon extensive play, my losses reached alarming levels.

Actually I’m at the casino now. I was up 100 in the first hour having been dealt a wild royal flush on all three lines. That 100 would have paid for all of my every day odds and ends expenses for the week. Now I am -200 and will have to struggle to get anywhere near her either.

How about the enjoyment of playing the game itself? The company of friends? The excitement of the casino experience? Free stuff? Comfortable surroundings? Nice music and pretty ladies? And, they let you choose your admission fee.

Someone posted a while ago that a Vegas Casino had some kind of meter where if you didn't play enough you had to move on. Did that go away or did I misunderstand it?

Actually I believe that I posted about meters being installed on bar machines in Las Vegas to tell the bartender just how much a person has played and if they've earned a complimentary drink or not. I don't drink so free drinks in a casino don't interest me in the least bit.

I don't drink either. Do these meters still exist? Like paid parking, this could be another method the casino can use to extract profit from it's customers. I have already witnessed the coin button being locked at my local casino forcing you to play max coins. That didn't last too long. Paid parking didn't either. Will there eventually be cover charges to play casino games?

Years ago when they first started talking about pay TV, one of the advantages was suppose to be no commercials. Now you pay for your TV and you have more commercials than ever. Funny how things change once people get used to them.

Olds, with all the casino trips we make, why pay over $100 for any of them? We must set a loss limit. Remember that phrase? I think of all the great meals I could have had if I simply left the casino after a half hour. You ask for trouble, it promptly arrives.

According to Tedlark's subsequent post, you did, in fact, misunderstand it.
