Cheap Advantage Play?

For what it is worth, I am tired of repeatedly reading about Advantage Play on the recreational forum. It belongs on the Strategy Forum. Secondly, enough with BD, etc. Phil please let it go. There are so many other areas to discuss that apply to recreational players that have nothing to do with AP and BD. Thirdly, to critics of FP, enough with sarcastic comments that don't add anything to the discussion. If you don't agree with something, just say it.

Why don't the experts say this?

"Advantage Play Strategy gives you the best chance of playing winning video poker. Video poker is gambling and as such your results are based on chance. Be aware that your results may vary. Past performance is not indicative of future results." Do not play video poker with money you can not afford to lose.

Some time ago, you made a similar suggestion. In response, I provided a quotation from some material I have on hand that seemed to do just that. You never even bothered to acknowledge it.

Here's what I said about Bob Dancer.

1. He did not invent Advantage Play Strategy.
2. He had an incredible 6 months run of luck.
3. He wrote about that experience in a book.
4. He became a well known expert on video poker.
5. He markets Advantage Play Strategy materials and has a radio show where he discusses it.

Some of what I said is well known fact. Some of it is my opinion. The only thing negative I said about him was I didn't believe his claim that Advantage Play is proven by math and can not fail. He clearly states the reason he is willing to risk big money playing VP is he believes when he has an advantage he will win long term. I disagree. I believe this is a dangerous concept because some people may assume they have the advantage when they do not.

I believe Bob Dancer should stick to playing VP and continue making his millions. Selling more books is not justification for leading someone into bankruptcy. Disclaimers are not good enough. If you publicly claim to live a "nice lifestyle" from VP based on this strategy, that's what you are doing. If you do not understand my complaint, you either believe the same as he does or you choose to ignore the potential harm this strategy can cause.

Now you are really getting picky. When people listen to Bob's radio show, they listen because they want to learn how to beat the casinos. I listen on occasion myself and I enjoy some of the shows. Bob is a good showman and very convincing. He talks about winning and has winners on the show. Who doesn't want to run out and buy a book so you can beat the casinos too? I don't think I have ever heard one his critics on the show. Now, that would be interesting.

It is just this type of talk from you that really should get toned down and this is a perfect example of tak that you make that, in my opinion, really weakens anything else you say.

Are you telling me there has never been anyone who read one of Bob Dancer's books and has attempted to duplicate his results? Were they winners? What would happen if someone read that having an advantage assures you can bet as big as you want and tried it?
