Powerhouse poker

Post by DaBurglar »

Has anyone, anywhere, played this game in a real casino for money?

In AC, the only game I have found of powerhouse poker is in the GN (1 machine). Before I ceased playing, I dabbled in it at the GN about 16 months ago.....you can play 3, 5 or 10 handed but to truly take maximum advantage of the game's bonuses you must play 10 handed. Thus, it's designed to eat bankrolls for lunch, but if you get lucky on a ten handed deal, a basic hand like a dealt flush is worth 400 bucks playing quarters, 1600 bucks playing dollars. A dealt straight is worth 250 to 1000 bucks! Dealt full house is 900 to 3600 bucks, depending on credit value.

Such a game clearly is for large bankrolls, even playing nickels, because unless you hit something good in the first 10 deals, you could be down almost 1000 credits in the blink of an eye.

I've been playing it for fun here....most times I go bust, a few times you hit something good and fun!

Out of 10 (or so) sessions where I began with 10,000 credits on this site, at least 6 of them I went Busto-logna. 1 or 2 I kinda broke even, and 2 sessions I won between 4000-6000 credits before quitting. Not exactly killing it, and definitely not something you want to plop a lot of money into.

Maybe, if you choose to play NICKELS and are already wayyy up for the day ot trip, you might want to put in a couple hundred just to see what happens. AGain, ten handed is really the only way to play this particular game
