for all you voodoo systems out there!

Looks to me like we have plenty more to talk about, and YOU are the one who can't stop harping on the subject.
It seems to me we have a lot of players who claim to make a profit playing VP. No one ever talks about losing. Doesn't this seem strange to anyone but me?

At one time, I played VP much bigger than I do now. We traveled to Vegas frequently. I spend so much time in the Houston airport switching planes that I knew the waitresses by their first names. We quit going to Vegas when my wife was given four cards for sex shows in 20 minutes walking down the strip. We used to stay at the Bellagio. At that time you could actually see the casinos from the street.

We eventually moved our play to classier places. We discovered Biloxi and Black Hawk and found casinos where they didn't treat us like the next group of tourists. We still play in Vegas, but we much prefer the off strip casinos like Red Rock and South Point. It's not just the good games that draw us there, it's the no hustle atmosphere.

As we get older, we want different things from video poker. We aren't as concerned with winning as much as the experience. Going to the casino is fun. Making a profit is secondary to us. As long as we feel like we get our money's worth, we are happy. Are we the only couple on this forum that feels this way?

Good luck in the Mega Millions tonight. If I win I'm going to buy both Red Rock and South Point so I can make money from VP. Wouldn't that be ironic?

We evidently read different forums. Where are people posting about making all sorts of money playing VP? Is it the same subgroup of millionaires who vacation in playgrounds like Black Hawk and Wendover?

I play next to a husband and wife who play dollar triple play 9/6 Jacks or Better. Their financial swings are huge. These swings are not something I want want to endure just to be entertained. I spoke to them about this and they are the type of players who can't get excited about playing quarters. I can understand this, it's just not me.
Phil if I were playing next to you and you spoke to me about something like that I'd tell you to mind your own business.

Just ask the woman who commented to me once at Four Winds New Buffalo, MI regarding the amount of money I was seeding the machine with: I too - told her that it was none of her business.

Fine to donate at the quarter level. Figure a $25 hourly donation despite the mathematical loss expectation. Shrug, leave, repeat next week. Raise denomination it becomes truly ruinous.

For those of us who have never seen one, can you please explain what a 100% plus VP opportunity looks like? No specific details, just the game and the comps please. Thank you.
How can you possibly claim to have never seen a 100% plus VP opportunity when, as you have stated in another thread, you have played at Red Rock and South Point? Do you walk around with your eyes closed?

My guess, is he does. I gave him one example a couple of months ago. Naturally he blew that off. Currently, I'm up $15,657.25 this year on that play alone. And thats WITHOUT comps or using a players card. I won't mention the few other plays I know. Some are slot plays as well.

For me gambling has always been a long term loser. I suspect it is for many others as well, although few will admit it. I have had some great days playing VP. Winning is the greatest feeling in the world. Unfortunately, losing comes with the game. Sooner or later losing wears you down.

VP has lost much of it's appeal to me. I've grown bored with it and find myself spending more time with my other hobbies. I still enjoy playing on vacation and am looking forward to our road trips. These days they are more about travel and seeing new things than gambling.

I am trying to make the change over to an occasional gambler, instead of a weekly regular. This is a difficult task. Lucky I am not at a point where gambling has caused me harm, so there is no need to have myself banned from the casino like others have done. I believe I can make this switch successfully. Only time will tell.

I am not afraid to admit my short comings. It helps me become a better person. I am not a winner at gambling. I do not envy those who are. I am addicted to a game that's intended purpose is to take my money. I am a willing participant in this and have no one to blame but myself.

my god, calm down everyone, it was just a random simulation on two seperate machines, each machine spit out 500k hands 0.25 or 1.25 max bet and clearly one manage to win 5600$ and the other lost 205$

Bob did say you can 20k 0.25 credits without hitting a single royal but also says thats a very low chance of happening, i am very very VERY certain like bob is if i made each machine spit another 2mil hands both would produce losers on a 99.54 BUT even that would not un-change random 9/6 dividing 500k hands times 4 machines results would still be within 5 standard devations from the expected value

in other words the best voodoo system is to flat bet or dont play a negative game

oh and i don't like seeing large wins or large lossings and large amount of hands on a single device or machine it feels like it interferes with the results but thats my gut talking not math
