Vegas Trip Report

Post by Eduardo »

On my first break now, down $160.

I met up with Ansoda and Shadowman (Great to meet you guys!) It was a lot of help just figuring things out, getting started in the players club, knowing how to work the machines etc and I'm pretty sure I would have lost my players club card by now if they didn't remind me.

I completed phase 1 of my strategy, the first $100.  Best I could find was a weird Deuces pay table on Super Times Pay.  I played quarters 5 play.  I went through my entire bankroll without a good hit and not seeing a single multiplier come up and very few deuces dealt at all.  But when I got to zero on my last deal, I got enough to stay alive and then ended up hitting a 5x multiplied royal with deuces.  I think I was up about $50 at that point but not doubled my original amount so I kept going.  I ended up losing it all as expected and went on to phase 2.

So far I am in the middle of phase 2, playing quarters (nickels is too slow) on single line. I am down another $40 but still plenty of playing to go. It lasted a lot longer at this level so I could really get a lot of play time it seems like.

I will probably play the rest of this round out and then go explore the strip and finish the next 3 $100 phases late at night. Odds of coming out double over all aren't good unless I hit at least one quad deuces or a lucky royal so I expect to have fun at cash out at zero.

It is definitely different playing on the real machines in a casino.  I have to play a lot slower here and made a couple mistakes but nothing too bad. Having fun so far, but just getting started!

Wal-ah!  You are no longer a Virgin Eduardo!  I'm wishing you enormous LUCK and fully expect to hear you've broke the bank, crashed the casino and ran them out of W2G's!Hopefully, you can make it over to that booth of WM's and take some pictures!  Pictures are the next best thing to actually being there and I would dearly love to "be there!"

Eduardo-I warned you that Super Times Pay can suck you dry if you dont get good hands with the multiplier! Have a great time and we are waiting to hear a great winning story! May you hit many 4oak's and Royal's!

Both Eduardo and Shadowman stopped by the booth today.  I'll start a new topic with some pics.

Yes, I was there. As it turns out both ansoda and I walked away winners while Eduardo got zip. Ansoda hit quad aces on his first or second hand at DDB so I'm taking credit for sitting down first and determining the timing.  I'm sure I'll get a finder's fee at some time.
I walked around G2E for the next hour or two. It is amazing to see all the gaming expos and related businesses. I hadn't been to any kind of a convention in over 10 years but it did bring back some old memories of working the floor. I saw some of the new VP games coming soon. One allowed an additional bet on certain hands. Another had random jackpots. I think I'll need to read up on that one. More multipliers, etc. Should keep us busy for awhile.

I'm glad you made it ok and are having some fun, albeit with a little......in your play.  If you have a nice run tonight and decide to keep playing, at least take a break and go outside for a while to gawk at the nighttime sights.

Congratulations and the best of luck to you. Now that you been introduced to Vegas by Ansoda and Shadowman you've got it made. The fun is only beginning. Don't worry about your players cards. They are easily replaced. They are often forgotten when the big win finally arrives. I'm envious of your timing. You got to see the convention and meet the this site's administrator. Such good times. Enjoy yourself. See the sites. Have the greatest vacation ever. Again congratulations. Keep reporting in. Like Mike A. , living vicariously thru you on your first trip is nearly as good as being there.

That's been the fun part of it for me.  Remembering the first few Vegas trips - now it's kind of a <yawn> thing.    I bet the people who live there and have been following the thread have gotten an even bigger kick out of it.

Don't tell me you lost those too Still wishing you good luck. I was in LV about three weeks ago and wish I had caught the show. Broke even on my trip thanks to a last day quad 3's w/kicker on a DDB single line dollar machine ($800), otherwise it would have been sad; great fun nonetheless.
