Finally, another good STP hit for me.

Did you hit any jackpots? Did you get a great comp? We all want to know!

Again; it would only require a gaming entity getting caught ONCE to put them into public mis-trust and regulatory hell, hyperspace.

Also, programming "tweaks" cannot be turned on or off without leaving some sort of electronic footprint.

The reward to a casino is not worth the risk.

My previous post did not state that tampering is impossible (though I do not share the opinion that it is happening). What I stated was that tampering is NOT legal.

One one hand, these games are already proven to be highly profitable for casinos without any tampering or secretive odds changes. And the risk of tampering with the games is potentially catastrophic to the casino and maybe the entire industry, so there are likely encryption and safeguards in place to prevent game modification. So then it's possible the casinos are content to just install profitable games that operate as expected and watch the profits roll in. Maybe.

On the other hand, DaBurglar sounds like he's an expert in "modern Server Setup" so it's possible a casino goon can simply right click on a game icon, edit it, and remove most of the royal flushes. It's possible this is even being done by a waitress who knows modern Word Processing Editor, modern Save File, and modern Are You Sure Yes Button and she sneaks into the "server room" (actually a computer behind the bar next to the limes) to reduce the 4 of a kind odds for patrons who tip poorly. So many things are possible! And we have no proof to show this waitress server modification scheme is not happening.

I encourage you to keep an open mind. You should hear the things waitresses say in private about customers sometimes.

Oh I've heard a few of those replies about people. Also from some of the concierge folks. Believe me, some people deserve it. They are so rude the employees and think they are so privileged and better than others.

The games use a shuffled 52 card deck. To do anything with the programming of the RNG would get them banned from casinos worldwide. It's just your imagination.

This is jurisdiction dependent, fyi. But yes, everyone should be worried about jurisdictions where "Vegas Style" VP is not legally allowed.

AGAIN, whenever I have discussed this topic, I have confined it to AC and it's truly unique circumstances, environment, culture, history and problems....most of that is external to the actual games and machines but the circumstances are precisely what makes the manipulation of games a possibility.

And electronic footprints of any type can INDEED themselves be manipulated or hidden or altered.

They cannot be totally hidden. Manipulated or altered, yes.
