Last summer on June 16th, I was in Las Vegas playing some video poker at the Cosmopolitan. It was Bonus Streak, Ultimate X, Jacks or Better, ten hands, and for dimes. We all know how it feels to hit a Royal, but to hit a Royal on a 12 times pay is a little more exciting. I was dealt Qd, x, Jd, Kd, x, and sure enough on the 9th hand which was a 12 times pay I drew the 10d, and Kd, to fill the royal for a total of $4,804.50.
Then the following Saturday, June 23rd, I was back home in Michigan at a small Indian casino called Saganing Eagles Landing playing some more Video Poker. The game was Bonus Streak, Ultimate X, Triple Double Bonus, ten hands and for dimes when lightning struck again. I was dealt the Ad, x, x, x, x, and on the 3rd hand which was also a 12 times pay I hit a 3x, Ah, Ac, As, which gave me 4 aces and a kicker and paid 48,000 credits. The total for the ten hands was $4,808.00 and I wasn’t expecting this hit so when the machine kept racking up the money I had to look again to see what it was that I hit.
On May 2nd for my birthday I went to Turtle Creek Casino in Traverse City and again playing Bonus Streak, Ultimate X, Triple Double Bonus, ten hands, but this time for nickels. I was dealt the Ac, x, x, x, As, and on the 4th hand which was a 12 times pay I drew the Ah, Jh, Ad, which paid 9,600 credits. Then on the 5th hand of the same draw I hit the 7s, Ah, Ad, on a 3 times pay for an additional 2,400 credits. The total for these ten hands was 12,135 credits or $606.50 but as you can see I was a little unlucky as I did not hit the kicker on either one of these two hits.
