I was playing at the Isle of Capri in Lake Charles, LA in January and decided to spend my free play offer in a $1 progressive DDB machine. My first hit was a push, my second hit was trips. My third hit was a straight. I was starting to wonder if I was just working my way up the ladder to the big one. Sure enough my fourth hit was a dealt flush and as I was looking at the pay scale, I realized my light was flashing. I looked at the hand again and realized I had been dealt a royal flush for $17,416. I took that money and swore I would never play again as lightning usually doesn't strike the same place twice. In March I was back at the Isle and my sister convinced me to put my free play in $1 progressive again. On my second hand, I was dealt 3 to the royal and actually drew the royal for $15,846 on the exact same machine I had won on before. I could hardly believe it. I haven't been able to win anything on that machine since, but then I don't put much in it either.
