Player hits $400,000 jackpot playing 100 Play Draw Poker

The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas tweeted a $400,000 jackpot on Monday the 27th from a player's game of Hundred Play Draw Poker. They were playing Triple Double Bonus Poker dollars (that’s $500 per hand) and got dealt four aces and a kicker. Surely they had been practicing this game on before playing for real at the casino!

Quick Poll – Have you played Hundred Play in a casino?

Monthly iPad Winner – It Pays to Play!

Congratulations to Jimg, our latest iPad winner. Jimg qualified with 84 contest sessions in March. We've also awarded GOLD memberships to 10 other random winners.

At the end of every month, we have a random drawing and award a brand new iPad Air to one lucky winner and GOLD memberships to 10 other winners. Each contest session you play during the month is a chance to earn an entry into the drawing, so the more sessions you play, the better your chance of winning!

Since all contests are now playable on mobile devices, Jimg will be able to play on a brand new iPad!

This Month's Kicker

My mother in law is not a gambler, but we found ourselves in Las Vegas to celebrate her retirement. The wife and I decided to head to the casino for some down time and my mother in law said she would come along. Amazed by all the lights and different slot machines around, she asked "how do you decide what to play?" I tell her that we aren't much into the fancy slot games, but tend to stick to video poker. "Cards, on a computer?" she asks. As if this is some sort of new invention. She gets out her billfold and takes out a dollar and asks how to play. We both laugh, and given it's her retirement we throw $100 into her 25 cent machine for her and tell her to take it slow. We guide her through the menus, explain how to hold cards, and point out the different types of winning hands. The very first hand, she holds a ten. "No, no, no..." we explain. You don't get anything for a single ten. She says it's her game, she gets to hold whatever she wants. I kid you not, that crazy old lady drew 4 cards and hit a royal flush for a thousand dollars. "I guess you CAN hold whatever you want" we tell her. "I think I'll go lie down for a bit" she says, handing me the ticket. And as far as I know that's the only $1.25 she ever gambled on anything in her life.
